I can’t imagine. I just can’t imagine. How quickly did she have to go on bed rest after trying to carry around a child that big? Think of the stretch marks!

When I hear stories like this, I can’t help but wonder how it happened. Was it a fluke? Some sort of genetic hiccup? Did she eat something specific while pregnant or even before conception?

I imagine there will be a few doctors around the world who will be interested in answering those questions and more in regards to this mother and child.

Like Marmite, Guinness is very much a love it or hate it thing. If you’re not a fan after your first pint of the black stuff then you’re unlikely to ever be a fan of the drink.

Those of us who love Guinness, of which there are millions around the world, can today celebrate Arthur Guinness Day, which commemorates 250 since the man behind the drink set up the brewery.

This advert points out the obvious, that each Guinness glass actually tells you it has been 250 years thanks to the “Estd. 1759″ on the logo. And then plays a global game of Chinese whispers with some funny results.

Now, all I need to do is get my work done early today so I can go out for a few pints of Guinness. Which is exactly what the makers of the drink wanted from this day. That’s powerful advertising for you.

A massive dust storm covered many cities on Australia’s east coast yesterday, causing a ‘red out’ in Sydney, massive amounts of dust in Brisbane and – as you can see in this video – absolute blackouts in other areas.

Between the earthquakes and the dust storms, Australia’s eastern states certainly had an interesting day yesterday!

Now as people clean up the dust in the north and assess the damage in the south, Australians can’t help but wonder what is next on the list of strange events…

I didn’t get much haze from the dust and didn’t feel the quakes (though they were close), but I think I will just sit back and consider myself lucky.
